An up and coming Nigerian entrepreneur, Ezeoma Obioha, based in the United States of America (USA), who allegedly shot a lady to death over the money he owed her, has been detained.
Obioha, according to report, runs an emerging clothing line in the US and had contacted the deceased, 30-year-old Carrie Jean Melvi , who before her death, recently became the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of an online branding and social media company, to market his company.
The 31-year old suspect, is now in jail on a $1million bail bond for allegedly murdering Carrie.
As DAILY POST gathered, the dispute occurred when Obioha wrote her a dud cheque on completion of the job. The cheque bounced and she threatened him with legal action, but the Nigerian allegedly decided to murder her to prevent paying the money or getting involved in a lawsuit.
According to the police, on Sunday July 5th, the deceased was walking with her boyfriend near Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, California, when a gunman pulled over slowly, shot at Carrie and drove off.
The police on investigation, revealed that the accused is listed on Facebook as the President and CEO of The Hoodfellas, Inc., and on the company’s website, he is said to be a Morehouse College graduate and a US Army Veteran.
“He had a storefront for his business, Hoods Inc., which sold T-shirts and hats, in the Mid-City neighborhood in Los Angeles while his home, the store and a marijuana dispensary adjacent to the store, where he worked as the guard, were also invaded,” the police confirmed.
