Two robbers arrested at Ondo Motor Park

Men of the Nigeria Police Force, Ondo State Command yesterday arrested two suspected armed robbers in the state.

The suspects, Usman Richard, 22 and Kehinde, 32, according to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Wole Ogodo, were among the eight suspects that were sighted at Akure Motor Park in Ondo Town while planning an operation.

Ogodo, said the eight men, including the arrested suspects, on sighting the police patrol team from Yaba Division of Ondo Town at about 1:00am, took to their heels.

He said the men of the command, who chased them were able to arrest only two of them while others escaped.

The PPRO said a Barrerta pistol with other ammunitions were recovered from the suspects.

He added that efforts were on to arrest the fleeing members of the gang, calling on members of the public to provide police with useful information.
