Two men remanded in prison for alleged murder

For allegedly killing one Murisiku Abdullahi in October 2012, two men- Moses Paul, 30, and Ogunremi Kehinde, 30, have been remanded in Ikoyi Prison, Lagos State after being arraigned before a Magistrate’s court in Yaba, Lagos.

DailyPost gathered that on October 10 last year, at Hi-tech Construction Company Nigeria Ltd, located at Ibeju-Lekki area of the state, the two accused with others still at large beat the deceased to death.

The two counts read in part, “That you, Moses Paul, M, and Ogunremi Kehinde,M, and others at large, on the 10th day of October, 2012, between the hours of 16.30 and 23:30 at Hi-Tech Construction Company Nigeria Ltd Site Eko Akete, Ibeju Lekki Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conspire amongst yourselves to commit felony to wit; murder and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 221 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, Nigeria, 2011”

The men however claimed not guilty to the charges.

The Magistrate, Mrs. S.K Matepo, however did not entertain their application for bail.

The matter was adjourned till July 22.
