Three men arraigned for motorcycle theft

Three men, Abdulrahaman Okehi (28) Tunde Adigun (45) and Kolawole Ogundele (21), were on Tuesday arraigned before an Ibadan Chief Magistrates’ Court, Oyo state, for allegedly stealing a motorcycle worth N183,000.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Foluke Adedosu, said that the defendants have been charged with conspiracy and stealing.

She said Okehi, Adigun and Ogundele committed the offence on Wednesday at Bode area of Ibadan.

Adedosu said the defendants stole the motorcycle marked NAP407QD, belonging to one Jonathan Adedosu.

The prosecutor stated that the offences contravened sections 516 and 390 (9) of the Criminal Code Cap 38 Vol II Laws of Oyo State of Nigeria, 2000.

However, the defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges and their defence counsel, Kamardeen Oyerinde, applied for their bail on liberal terms.

Chief Magistrate, Adams Adeshina admitted the defendants the bail in the sum of N50,000 each with two reliable sureties in like sum, adjourning the matter to July 24.
