Six suspected oil vandals arrested in Ondo

Men of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps,NSCDC, today arrested six suspected pipeline vandals with 33,000 litters truck of Petrol. The arrested truck was with Registration number, LAG LSR-241XC.

The suspects who were apprehended around 4pm at Odigbo local government area of the state following a tip off, were also caught with a Toyota Carmy with registration number, LAG KJA 271AQ.

In a statement issued by the NSCDC Public Relations Officer,PRO, Kayode said the Toyota Camry was always illegally used by the suspects for monitoring and transportation of the siphoned petroleum product,PMS,at NNPC pipeline network area in Onitea village, along Lagos – ore express way.

The suspects are – Festus Aghae (truck Driver), Stephen Kelechi, (Truck motor boy), Israel Ochadu (truck motor boy), Odion lucky (Camry driver), Abdul Basit Olaogun(Manager) and Jude Teghtegh ( the facilitator).

They were accused of attempted bribery as they also made to bribe the NSCDC officials who caught them.

Balogun said the suspects admitted that they loaded the product from a vandalized pipeline
