Six persons nabbed for stabbing pupils in Kano

The Kano State Police Command has arrested six persons in connection with stabbing of two pupils at the Fagge Special Primary school on Wednesday.

This was disclosed to journalists by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Magaji Majiya in Kano on Monday.

He noted that the suspects were arrested last week following a tip-off, adding that they were helping the police in their investigation.

Majiya further stated that the suspects will be charged to court as soon as they conclude their investigation.

The police spokesman also stressed that one of the victims was still receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

Majiya further stressed that a staff of the state Fire Service has also been arrested for allegedly conniving with a colleague to abduct and rape an eight-year-old girl.

‘’The suspects later called her parents to demand for N1 million ransom before she could be released.

‘’The girl has since been treated at the hospital and reunited with her parents while effort was still being made to track down the fleeing suspect,’’ Majiya said.

In a related view, Majiya disclosed that the police had rounded up a woman who stole a baby at Gwarzo General Hospital on May 20.

He affirmed that the woman will be charged to court upon completion of investigation. .
