The Security operative in Lagos State was put to a big question when two policemen and seven others were arrested for robbery by the men of the Nigerian police force in Ikeja, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.
At a press time, the indicted policemen were Corporal Adya Chashe, a.k.a. Jubril Abdullahi, serving with the Abattoir Divisional Headquarters, Agege and Corporal Isaac Igba attached to Isokoko Division.
In house sources revealed that the Policemen and their accomplices stormed the house of a popular lawyer whose valuables were carted away by the hoodlums. Inflicting more pain on him, and after dispossessing him, the hoodlums had raped his wife and Sister.
Confessing his deeds, the robber who raped the sister, confessed his love for the Victim girl stating that he liked the girl and collected her phone number after the act. It was disclosed that the robber truly called the victim after three days of the operation, confessing his mad chase for the girl’s love.
It was through the same medium that the robbers were tracked down as the young lady continued to play along. In her wisdom, she had told the robbers to meet her for further discussion. The robber who declined had suggested a hideout which the lady hesitantly accepted.
Men of the SARS police were contacted to follow her to the hideout and got him arrested. His arrest had helped in the arrest of other gang members. It was revealed that until his arrest, Corporal Adya Chashe, was on special duty at Stanbic IBTC Bank at Abattoir Police Station.
Different items including a pistol and a laptop were recovered from the DPO office. The DPO who has been confirmed as the group’s ring leader has a mansions in Abuja and Lagos. AK47 rifle was also recovered from the home of Corporal Isaac Igba, when police carried out a thorough search of his house.
Sources have revealed that the robbers have N25 million in different bank accounts in both Abuja and Lagos. All the suspects are currently being detained at SARS, Ikeja, Lagos.
