Robbers kill 3 in Onitsha

Daredevil bandits on Monday shot 3 persons dead in a robbery attack at Okosi junction, along the every-busy Awka road in the commercial city of Onitsha, Ananbra State.

The robbers, according to an eyewitness made away with about N12 million said to have been in the boot of the car of their victims who were identified as staff of one of the petrol stations who were going to deposit their weekend sales in one of the commercial banks when the robber  attacked and killed them. It was however gathered that the gunmen, who were said to have operated on two motorcycles, overpower the victims who were conveyed in a  Peugeot 504 Station Wagon with Reg. No. DR937PHC,

Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Emeka Chukwuemeka who confirmed the incident noted only one person was killed in the robbery operation.
