Five days after the abduction of the Dean of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Archbishop Ignatius Kattey, on his way to Port Harcourt, the police have not discovered his whereabouts.

The Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command, Angela Agabe told our correspondent that policemen who have been searching the bushes and creeks were yet to track down the Archbishop Kattey and his abductors

Agabe stated that the police command had deployed all its forces to ensure the safe return of Bishop Kattey.

“Up till now, we are still on top of the situation. With the information so far gathered we are still combing. I believe very soon, he will be rescued”.

Meanwhile, a source who claimed to be close to the Archbishop’s family alleged that the kidnappers have established contact and demanded ten million naira ransom.
