Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo will Tuesday evening meet with northern elders, DAILY POST has learnt.
The meeting is believed to be in connection with the quit notice by a coalition of youths in the North that Igbos should vacate the region within three months.
Presidency sources say the meeting will hold at 5pm at the Old Banquet Hall of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.
It was gathered the Osinbajo will hold a similar meeting with Igbo elders.
Many groups and individuals have condemned the ultimatum.
On Monday, Niger Delta activist, Tony Uranta, in his reaction lamented that lack of arrests one week after the threat was issued has confirmed that some Nigerians are bigger than others.
His words, “I was concerned when I heard the threat issued by northerners against Igbo to leave the North because it shows that it is the lack of knowledge that makes us do things that would hurt us.
“The fact that the Federal Government is dragging its feet in arresting those who issued the threat is an indication that some people are better than others and it does not speak well.”
Yerima Shettima, National President of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF), says youths in the North asked Igbos to the their region because self-determination groups like IPOB and MASSOB insist on secession from Nigeria to form Biafra.
