Police officers arrested over alleged murder of truck driver

Police in Ondo State says it has arrested some of its officers at the police pin down point along Benin/Ore road for allegedly killing an unregistered truck driver.

The State Commissioner of Police, Patrick Dokumor disclosed this while addressing reporters at his office in Akure, the State Capital

He said the corpse of the deceased identified as Friday Igbinedion, who was allegedly shot in the early hours of Friday has been deposited at the mortuary.

The Commissioner explained that the corpse would remain in the mortuary pending the outcome of the command’s investigation

According to him, the killer corps would face the law squarely.
