Police nab three suspected kidnappers in Enugu

Operatives of the Anti-kidnapping Unit of the Enugu State police command have arrested three suspected kidnappers in the state.

The suspects, who gave their names as Ikechukwu Echeruo, Okomma Uchama and Ebuka Omenyi were alleged to have abducted one Okwudili Maduabuchi, a Coal city taxi cab driver.

It was gathered that after the abduction, the victim was taken into a bush at Iwologhe in Ezeagu Local Government of Enugu State.

The police spokesman in the state, DSP Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the incident said the villagers moved in pursuit of the hoodlums, adding that they equally alerted the security operatives.

“The suspects were later arrested and are helping police in their investigations”, he stated.

In a related development, one Ibezim Ocho of No 36 Power Line, New Haven Enugu has also been arrested in connection with a car snatching incident.

DailyPost gathered that the missing Toyota Camry car, with registration number EE-794-EKY has already been repainted and kept at a panel beater workshop, at Asata Ogui Enugu.‬‬
