The Police in Rivers State have confirmed the death of one Monday Eleanya, who was allegedly shot dead along Ada-George road in Port Harcourt.
A senior police officer told DAILY POST that the remains of Monday Eleanya was found close to his residence around Ada-George.
He also alleged that Eleanya, who is from a community in Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government area of the state, was shot dead by yet-to-be identified gunmen.
DAILY POST gathered that the remains of the deceased Eleanya have been deposited at an undisclosed mortuary while the police continue with their investigations.
He was a former member of the Rivers state House of Assembly where he represented Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni, ONELGA constituency between 1999 and 2003 on the ticket of the PDP
Monday Eleanya, who is fondly called ‘WORLD BANK’, recently announced his defection from the PDP to the All Progressive Congress in ONELGA.
