The operatives of the Nigeria police Force, Enugu State command have nabbed two suspected armed robbers identified as Onyebuchi Onwe and Nnamdi Okoli.
The two suspects, who were arrested by the anti-kidnap unit of the command were linked to a car snatching incident at Ozubulu in Anambra State.
In a statement made available to DailyPost by the Police spokesman in the state, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, he disclosed that “a Commuter Hiace bus bought on February 8th, 2013 by one Chibueze Nweke was snatched from him by a yet to be identified gunmen on February 9th, 2013 at Ozubulu in Anambra state”.
The PPRO stated that following an information made available by the members of the public, men of the anti-kidnap unit during their routine raids of suspected hideouts identified the said bus in one of the relaxation parks located in G.R.A axis of Enugu State.
He added that Okoli who was the first to be arrested led the operatives to Obiagu in Enugu where Onwe was arrested.
“Both suspects are helping the police in their investigations. They claimed that they bought the Commuter Hiace bus from an unknown person, repainted it and got it registered with the registration number ACA 377 XA”, Amaraizu added.
