Panic in Rivers as suspected cultists rape two teenagers, abandon corpses in bush

Bodies of two teenage girls have been discovered in a bush in Ubie Clan, Ekpeye in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Residents were thrown into panic, weekend, when they found the bodies of the deceased identified as Miss Chipkebi Samuel (15) and Miss Uwoh Nelson (12).

According to reports, some hoodlums responsibility for their killing must have molested them, before strangulating them as there were traces of blood on their private parts.

The bodies of the girls were reportedly discovered in a nearby bush on Sunday after they had been declared missing a week earlier.

The families of the deceased girl were said to have mobilized various search parties who were dispatched within one week to comb the bush, while others went to town.

All their efforts were futile until a palm fruit cutter spotted their bodies and alerted the community on the said day.

The palm fruit cutter reportedly found the girls with their mouths gagged with pieces of their clothes, while their hand-bags were placed by their sides.

One the girls has been buried after disagreements on issues bordering on tradition but the body of the second girl has been deposited in a morgue.

Meanwhile, the police is yet to comment on the incident as all efforts by DAILY POST reporter to get in touch with the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Nnamdi Omoni, on phone, were abortive.
