Ondo Police arrests man for defiling 13-year-old boy

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a 35-year-old man identified as Ilesanmi Omojuyigbe for allegedly assaulting a 13-year-old boy, Babatunde Adebayo in Iju town, Akure North Local Government area of the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Wole Ogodo disclosed this on Tuesday at the Command’s Headquarters in Akure, the state capital. Ogodo explained that the young boy, who lives at 24 College road, Iju reported the case at a police station in the town, alleging that the suspect lured him to his room under the pretense that he wanted to buy frozen fish from him.

The Police Spokesman stated that the suspect had confessed to the crime, and that he would soon be charged to court.

Similarly, Ogodo said four persons have also been arrested in connection with occultic activities in Okitipupa town, Okitipupa local government area of the state.

The suspects, acccording to him, are Augustine Belief, 22, Adie Kelly, 22, Ikenna, Ekenna Eze, and Okepeke Ogechukwu 28, all living in Okitipupa town, while other members of the group were still at large.

“The police received information in Okitipupa that some persons gathered at Old Garage, Okitipupa, conducting initiatiation into a cult group. The patrol team swung into action and arrested the suspects. They have confessed to be members of Supreme Viking”, he disclosed.

While promising to arrest the fleeing members of the group, the PPRO said the suspects would soon be prosecuted at the court.

“The Police Command is committed to getting rid of cultism and other violent crimes in the state”, Ogodo pledged.
