Good morning! Here are 10 things you need to know this morning:

1. A Federal High Court, sitting in Port Harcourt, Thursday nullified the local government elections conducted by former Governor, Rotimi Ameachi few days before the expiration of his tenure.

2. Two underage boys between 9 and 11 years of age were on Thursday arrested in Yola for attempting to sell an explosive device given to them by two men. The boys were reportedly given the device to take to Bauchare, a suburb of Yola on a suicide mission, but may have changed their minds and decided to sell the explosive.

3. Following his arrest by the EFCC and subsequent appearance in court over an alleged fraud amounting to N270m, former Imo Governor, Ikedi Ohakim was yesterday granted bail by a Federal High Court in the sum of N270m.

4. Major markets in Enugu State were on Thursday shut down following protests by traders over the recent relocation of Boko Haram prisoners to Anambra State. Report says residents were made to only patronise roadside traders.

5. Former governor of Jigawa state, Sule Lamido, his two sons Aminu and Mustapha as well as one Aminu Wada Abubakar have been remanded in prison custody till September 28, 2015 over 28-count charge of corruption and money laundering brought against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

6. Following the indictment of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) by the Coroner handling investigation into the collapsed building within the church premises, the church in its reaction said the verdict was biased and unreasonable, insisting that the incident was a plot against the church by some persons.

7. The presidency has debunked media reports that National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki, has resigned, describing the report as antics of desperate people and mischief makers. It cleared that the NSA was still very active in ongoing activities in the villa and other important national assignments.

8. A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Thursday, fixed September 16, as the new date for the arraignment of a Director in the Department of Finance and Accounts of the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Mohammed Agabi and four others over allegation of N700 million fraud.

9. The Rivers State Police Command has reacted to the rumour that there was an explosion at the premises of the Federal High Court in the state yesterday. The Command while bebunking the report, said it was a false alarm raised by one of the court’s casual security. This was contained in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Mohammad.

10. In the latest FIFA ranking released on Thursday by FIFA, Nigerian Super Eagles has slumped 14 places and now occupying 57th position in the world as other small African countries have now gone ahead of the Nigerian national team.
