The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, (NDLEA) has arrested a 26 year old Nzeka Chika for alleged drug trafficking. Nzeka Chika was caught on his way to Malaysia with more than 1.800kg of Methamphetamine, worth over 5.5 million naira. The substance that was sealed in tomato tins was intercepted at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, MMIA, Ikeja Lagos.
Report reaching us indicates that the suspect is said not to be aware of the death sentence that awaits drug pushers in Malaysia and is currently being interrogated by anti-narcotic agents over illegal exportation of drugs. Officers who made the arrest at the Airport confirmed that the suspect is cooperating with the investigators and all necessary information is being retrieved accordingly.
Speaking with our correspondents, Hamza said “The two big tin tomato pastes with 1.8kg of methamphetamine were in Nzeka’s bag containing clothes and foodstuff like yams, rice, beans, garri and spaghetti. The food items were meant to distract officers from the tomato pastes”
Meanwhile, what baffles many people at the moment is the wake of high profile crime that has taken over the country. However, the Nigerian security agents have been praised for tracking down some of these illicit drug pushers.
