Mechanic docked for armed robbery

A 25-year-old mechanic, Paul Ajayi, has been arraigned on Wednesday before Magistrate Oshodi Makanju of the Ikeja Magistrate’s Court , sitting in Lagos state on a two-count charge of armed robbery. They were arrainged by the Nigeria police.

According to the Police Prosecution, Samson Ekikere, the accused and others who are still at large allegedly robbed one Omojola Ebenezer of her car, a Mazda 323 with registration number KSF 40 BB with a locally made gun at Ikorodu, along Sagamu express way on April 11, 2013, at about 9.30p.m.

However, the defendant pleaded not guilty.

Magistrate Oshodi Makanju adjourned the case to May 31,2013 for further hearing.
