Man sentenced to 885-year imprisonment over child pornography

A US Court has sentenced a 31-year-old man, Shawn Ryan Thomas, to 885 years in prison over the possession of a very large stash of child pornography.

According to the Attorney General Pam Bondi’s Office of Statewide Prosecution, the convict was sentenced on 59 counts of possession of child pornography, 15 years for each count.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement noted that the 31-year-old had a meeting with an informant online regarding a disturbing plan to kidnap a child, kill the parents and sexually assault the child while filming the acts so as to produce child pornography.

Thomas was alleged to have lured a 9-year-old girl and her parents to a vacant home last June, but the adults grew suspicious and left.

NBC reports that the convict was intercepted by FDLE before he had the opportunity to carry out his plans.
