A Magistrates’ Court sitting in Kano on Thursday ordered the remand of a 30-year-old labourer in prison custody for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old boy.
Chief Magistrate Fatima Adamu ruled that Muntari Aliyu should remain in prison until May 18.
The accused, who is facing a one-count charge, resides at Hagawa Village, Bichi Local Government Area of Kano State.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Aluta Mijinyawa, told the court that the accused lured his 13-year-old younger brother into his house and forcefully had unlawful sexual intercourse with him through the anus.
Mijinyawa said that the offence contravened Section 284 of the Penal Code.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty.
