Man kills wife over money in Abuja

In less than four months of their marriage ,  Victoria Johnson, a staff of a Savings and Loans bank in Abuja has been shown the way to the grave  after been murdered by her husband who had only lived with her for one month.

According to the decease’s sister , Victoria had “collected money from a customer from the bank meant to be deposited in her bank, but her taxi driver husband, who was at the time her boyfriend, asked to borrow the money. She gave it to him. Many months after , he refused to pay back with different excuses”

The two had to quarrel over the issue. Four weeks after then, and four weeks before the church wedding, Victoria was found dead in their apartment in kuje-Karu, Abuja.

Her husband who claimed the act was not intentional as he was arrested after an initial attempt to run away said, “we have been arguing about the money once again, and she had threatened to report the case to her bank.

In anger I hit her and she collapsed.”

The culprit is. Currently at the Keffi Prisons awaiting trial.
