The sleepy village of Akinleye, a settlement in Osun State was enveloped with confusion on Saturday, when a man, Kazeem Ayoola allegedly murdered his octogenarian murder, Taibat in cold blood.
The 85-year-old woman was hacked to death with a machete, an eye witness told DAILY POST.
The agrarian village was thrown into serious confusion as a result of this heinous act, as people wondered the reason behind the brutal action.
Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Osun State Command, SP Folasade Odoro, who confirmed the incident assured the public of thorough investigation to unravel the root cause of the killing.
Odoro added that Kazeem had since been apprehended by the police while the body of the mother had been deposited at the mortuary of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, for autopsy.
