Man bags three months in prison for raping 13-year-old girl

A Zuba Upper Area Court on Wednesday sentenced, Kenneth Onwuka , 37, of Tunga maje-Abuja to three months imprisonment for forcefully having carnal knowledge of a 13-year-old girl.

The Presiding Judge, Malam Aminu Sa’ad, sentence Onwuka after he pleaded guilty to the one-count charge of Gross Indecency.

Sa’ad, however, gave the convict an option of fine of N30,000.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Haruna Danlami, had told the court that on April 9, Sunday Efo, came to Zuba Police Station and reported the convict.

Danlami said that Efo told the police that the convict led the victim to the premises of a secondary school and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.

He said the offence contravened Section 285 of the Penal Code. (NAN)
