Kano Sharia Court sentences eight to death for blaspheming Prophet Mohammed

A Sharia court in Kano has condemned eight persons, including a woman to death for making blasphemous statement against Islamic head, Prophet Mohammed.
It was gathered that earlier in May, an Islamic cleric, Abdul Inyass of Tijjaniya sect was arrested alongside 11 others for demeaning the Prophet of Islam.
A statement by the Chief Registrar, Kano sharia court, signed on his behalf by Alhaji Nasiru made available to reporters in Kano Thursday added that 4 others were discharged.
