One Abraham Embuga, 26, was on Friday paraded by the Directorate of State Security (DSS) for allegedly forging the letterhead paper of Nasarawa State Governor, Umar Tanko Al-Makura to aid his employment into the federal civil service.

The suspect, a graduate of Business Management at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, NSUK, also allegedly forged the signature of the Secretary to the State Government, Hajia Zainab Abdulmumin for same purpose.

DSS Assistant Director of Security, Ngobiowei Awoikiega, further informed newsmen that the command has in its custody a man who had been parading himself as a Deputy Director of the service.

The official disclosed that the graduate, whom the Service concealed his face for security reasons, was arrested in Akwanga Local Government Area of the state on a tip-off and has made useful statements.

The suspect however said he was not guilty.

Embuga explained that the letter head paper was given to him by a former aide to a former governor of the state, adding that he has been jobless for four years.

The situation, according to him, forced him to take the risk in order to secure the job.

While begging for mercy, he said he had submitted the said documents to the Federal Medical Centre, Keffi, where he was told it is difficult to gain employment without tendering a note from the Government House or any other influential public figure.

The SSS stated that Embuga would be charged to court soon.
