Operatives of the Special Anti-robbery Squad, SARS, Enugu State Police Command, have arrested an alleged leader of a cult group, identified as Mba Chukwuemeka, a.k.a, Dontiti.
He was arrested by the police at about 7 pm on Tuesday at Ngwo in Enugu State.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, in the state, Ebere Amaraizu, (DSP), who confirmed the incident to DailyPost, disclosed that following Mba’s arrest and subsequent revelations other suspected members of the group were nabbed.
They gave their names as Ndubuisi Agu, a.k.a. ND, Ugochukwu Nnadi, a.k.a, Kola, Ani Chigbo, a.k.a, Akin, Onah Chukwuebuka, a.k.a, Ezekudene, Onyeka Okeke, a.k.a, Balogun, Okwor Afamefuna, a.k.a, Austie, Orji Anayo, a.k.a, Anaete and Offor Ogbonna, a.k.a, Mako.
In another development, the police in Nsukka Division have nabbed one Uchola Godwin for allegedly being in unlawful possession of firearm.
The suspect, who claimed to hail from Obale, Ibagi Kogi State was nabbed by policemen on stop and search duty at Okpuje along Nsukka/Odolu Kogi road.
He was allegedly found in possession of a locally made pistol and three live cartridges.
