Enugu Police arrests fake NAFDAC staff

Operatives of the Uwani division of the Nigeria Police Enugu command have nabbed one Iloegbu Augustine for allegedly parading himself as a staff of the National Agency for Food, Drugs Administration and Control, NAFDAC.

According to the police, the suspect, who hails from Egede in Udi local Government Area of the state, has been using the fake position to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.

In a press statement made available to DailyPost, the suspect was alleged to have defrauded one of his victims of N120, 000 (one hundred and twenty thousand naira).

The statement signed by the spokesman of the command, Ebere Amaraizu, DSP, added that “a full scale investigation has commenced as the suspect is helping the police in their investigation”.
