Two former employees of Vanguard Media Limited, Dickson Ubi Effah and Ngozi Anthony were on Wednesday arrainged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, before Justice Jude Okeke of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Maitama, on a four-count charge of theft and misappropriation of funds.
According to a statement by the Head, Media & Publicity of the Commission, Wilson Uwujaren, the accused persons were alleged to have stolen about N2 million from their employer, thereby committing an offence punishable under section 287 of the Penal Code Act cap 532 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.
Both Dickson and Ngozi pleaded not guilty when the charges were read to them.
Mr. Okeke granted bail to the accused persons in the sum of N3 million each and a surety in like sum.
He emphasised that the surety, must be resident in Abuja and should depose to an affidavit of livelihood, while their addresses are to be verified by the court
