“Devil pushed me to steal” – Man confesses after breaking into Rangers FC dressing

A middle aged man, identified as Osita Onyeador of No 138 Ogui Road Enugu has blamed the devil after he was arrested for breaking into the dressing room of Rangers International FC of Enugu.

The crime was allegedly committed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium during the CAF championship match on Sunday.

It was gathered that the suspect was nabbed by the police operatives on duty when the match between Rangers and the Recreativo De Libolo of Angola was on.

A source disclosed that Onyeador allegedly stole a sunny ipad Handset phone and some money belonging to some of the players before he was nabbed.

Confirming the incident, the police spokesman in the state, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, DSP, said the suspect confessed to the crime, claiming that it was the devil that pushed him into the act.

He stated that all the stolen items have been recovered from him, adding that he would soon be arraigned in court.‬‬‬
