David Mark warns PDP ahead of non-elective convention

Former President of the Senate, David Mark, has urged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members to ensure a hitch-free convention that would strengthen the party.

In a statement by his spokesman, Paul Mumeh, Mark expressed optimism about the future of the party after the convention.

He, however, warned PDP members that the party could not afford to make another mistake.

“I am impressed by the renewed enthusiasm and commitment of members towards rebuilding the party after the protracted leadership tussle”, Mark said.

“We have come this far through a tortuous journey. We cannot afford to make another mistake that could affect the fortunes of the party in the days ahead”, he added.

Delta Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, is chairman of Saturday’s non-election convention of the party.
