The Comptroller in charge of Nigerian Customs Service Yobe and Borno states, Alhaji Adamu Ahmadu has been murdered by suspected gunmen in his residence situated at Jaji ward, along Federal Government Girls’ College, Potiskum in Yobe State.
It was gathered that the victim who was recently transferred to Yobe from Bauchi State shot dead in his house by heavily numbering six gunmen at about 7p.m. and shot him in the presence of his family
A residents who witness the attack said:“I was outside my house when we heard the gunshots and we scampered into our houses for safety. When I called his son to find out what happened, he was crying and he said that Baba was killed,”Mr Lawal Tanko, Yobe State Police Commissioner who confirmed killing, noted that the deceased was trailed by the gunmen and shot in his family house.
“Six gunmen suspected to be hired assassins storm his residential house at Jaji Award, we learnt that he was shot dead. By tomorrow morning, I will personally lead the investigation team to Potiskum. We are all out to fish out the perpetrators,” he said
Tanko however disclosed that his team would bring criminals terrorizing Potiskum to their kneels.
