Court remands teacher for allegedly raping two pupils

An Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan on Thursday remanded a school teacher, Oludare Olayinka, 38, in prison custody for alleged rape of two pupils.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the victims aged 10 and 11 are sisters and attend school in Oluyole, Ibadan.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Sofiat Oyediran, ordered the remand pending the advice of the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).

Oyediran, thereafter, adjourned the case till June 12, for mention.

The accused, an English Language teacher, was arraigned on a two-count charge of rape and having unlawful carnal knowledge of the pupils.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Sunday Ogunremi, said the accused had carnal knowledge of the pupils with the aid hair cream on his male organ.

The offence was committed on May 21 at 11:25 a.m. at their school. (NAN)
