Court remands 45-year-old man for child molestation

A 45-year-old man, identified as Afibiye Bobmanuel has been remanded in Police custody for alleged child molestation.

Afibiye, who is popularly known as Fala, was accused of having canal knowledge of a ten at Plot 146, Zone three, Finima street in Port Harcourt.

The police prosecutor said Afibiye committed an offence punishable under Section 218 of the Criminal Code.

Chief Magistrate Felicitas Amanze of the Port Harcourt Magistrate Court, however, ordered that the accused be remanded in prison until the adjourned date of November 11, 2015 when the trial will commence.
