A Makurdi Upper Area Court on Thursday declared that one Clatus Yeke is the biological father of the three children of one Mary Odeh.

The court heard that Yeke and Odeh had been in a relationship for 12 years.

The Magistrate, Mr Ibrahim Mohammed, while delivery judgment said that the plaintiff had proved her case beyond reasonable doubt, ruling that that Yeke is the father of Odeh three kids.

“The evidence of the plaintiff confirmed that the plaintiff had all the pregnancies for the defendant.

“The DNA test also concludes that the defendant is the father of the three children.

“The defendant throughout the proceedings did not deny the fact that he had a relationship with the plaintiff.

“The defendant tried everything he could to evade the paternity of the children but the defendant is the biological father of the three children in question,” Mohammed ruled.

It will be recalled that Odeh had dragged eke to court for alleged betrayal, refusing to marry her and denying paternity of the three children.

Odeh urged the court to compel the defendant to accept responsibility for the education and up keep of the children.

She also prayed the court to grant her custody of the children, pending when they would come of age to live with their father.

She asked the court to compel the defendant to pay N45,000 every term as school fees for the three children and N10, 000 monthly as feeding allowance.

Yeke had previously denied that he was the biological father of the children. (NAN)
