General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, Worldwide, Prophet Samuel Abiara, has noted that many Christian leaders in the country supported Mohammadu Buhari in the last presidential election because of his capacity to foster peace and development needed by Nigerians.
The cleric, disclosed this during the inauguration of a new General Superintendent of the church, Pastor Samuel Oladele at the All Saints’ Chapel of the CAC in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
While reacting to the outcome of the election, the prophet said: “I prophesied before the election that there would not be any problem before, during and after the general elections and thank God that it came to pass.”
Abiara, who described the President-elect as an embodiment of peace, noted that the support given to the retired General by Christian leaders was for the good of the country.
His words, “The Christian leaders are not partisan, but considered peace as paramount as our concern is about who will engender security of lives and properties. Therefore, we don’t care whether a Christian or Muslim becomes our president; all we wanted was someone who would bring about peace that people desire.”
