The father of Mr. Tanko Wazimtu, personal assistant to acting Governor of Adamawa State, Umaru Fintiri, was among the people killed by Boko Haram insurgents in his Madagali residence last week. Pa Wazintu, 75, was killed by members of the Islamist sect in the presence of his wife and daughter.
Sympathizers trooped out on Friday to the residence of the acting governor and that of his aide over the death.
Tanko Wazintu said: “My sister and my step mother were forced to dig a hole to bury my father after being forced to sleep with his corpse for more that 72 hours”.
Meanwhile, DailyPost gathered Boko Haram insurgents have been forcefully recruiting youths in Adamawa into the Islamist group.
A resident in Yola said he learnt that young men living in some towns under the grip of the sect were being forced to join.
“It’s either you join or they kill you. Soldiers need to urgently reinforce and storm places like Michika, Gulak and others to recapture those places”, he said.
