Despite the measures put in place by the SSS on the possible attack of Kaduna by the Islamic Sect, Boko Haram, the state was on Tuesday attacked by the group when the 1st Mechanized Division of the Nigerian Army in Kawo was bombed. Another explosion was also reported at the Nigerian Air force Base, while other parts of the state witnessed the same blasts.
The attacks appear to be the newest in the series of attacks by the Jamaatu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati Wal-Jihad who are also referred to as the Boko Haram sect. The sect has killed more than hundred people since the inception of this year.
It was also confirmed that one of the militants was killed around the Nigerian army base as he tried to escape. The number of casualty could not be ascertained as at the time of filling this report,
However, the spokesperson of the 1 Div of the Nigerian Army, Lt. Col Eduh said it was a “failed attack by a suicide bomber”.
