Dare-devil armed robbers numbering about four attacked an MTN branded vehicle on Monday in Enugu, killing the driver.

Also shot dead was an operator of a tricycle, popularly called, Keke NAPEP, who was trying to escape the scene before he was hit by the robbers’ bullet.

Although the details of the attack was still sketchy as at the time of filling this report, a source told DailyPost that the MTN driver was intercepted around Mbanugo Bustop in Enugu metropolis by the robbers.

They shot the driver at close range before carting away undisclosed sum of money and unsold MTN recharge cards.

It was gathered that while residents scampered for safety, the Keke driver, identified as Praise, was not lucky as he was hit in the head by the bullet.

The other two victims, who were said to have been shot in the leg, have been rushed to hospital.

Before the police arrived the scene, the robbers had zoomed off in a yellow taxi car.

However, the Enugu State police command is yet to issue official statement on the incident.
