Angry mob kills 2 robbers, after shooting a lady

Nemesis recently caught up with two robbers at Naibawa Quarters of Kano, northwest Nigeria after shooting a lady and trying to evade but angry mob caught them.

According to a statement issued by the Kano Command Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Musa Magaji Majiya, an Assistant Superintendent of Police said one of the robbers who sustained first degree injuries from mob action at Yan-Lemo market in Naibawa Quarters died in the hospital during treatment while the other died before getting to the hospital.

The statement reads: “On April 2, 2012 at about 1300hrs., 2 suspected armed robbers shot a woman at Yan-Lemu market, Naibawa. They were pursued and caught by the mob who attempted to lynch them, but for the intervention of good Samaritans who alerted the police.

“One of them died before arriving the hospital while the other died during treatment. Another victim is receiving treatment while investigation into the incident is in progress,” he said.

Weapons such as AK47 rifle, 12 rounds of live ammunition and one Barretta pistol were recovered from the robbers.
