34-year-old man docked over Dubai employment visa fraud

A 34-year-old travel agent, Mark Okosun, was on Wednesday arraigned in an Ejigbo Senior Magistrates’ Court, Lagos State, for allegedly forging a United Arab Emirate’s employment visa for N357, 000.

The accused is facing a three-count charge of forgery, impersonation and fraud.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Babaji Ishaku, told the court that the accused committed the offence between May 2 and Nov. 20, 2015

“He collected the money from one Babatunde Oluwaseun that he would help him procure a Dubai employment visa.

“He later forged a United Arab Emirate employment visa in the name of Oluwaseun,’’ he said.

Ishaku said the offences contravened Sections 312 (2), 359 and 360 (b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Magistrate, Mrs J.O Adeyemi, granted the accused bail in the sum of N100, 000 with two sureties in like sum.

Adeyemi adjourned the case till Feb 22, for mention (NAN)
