Ahead of South African President, Mr. Jacob Zuma’s visit to the National Assembly, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki has brought today’s plenary to an abrupt end to enable principal officers of both Chambers meet before his arrival.
Zuma is expected to address the lawmakers on Tuesday ( today) at a special session which will take place inside the Green Chambers of the House of Representatives.
Part of the critical discussion with the South Africa leader, DAILY POST learnt, will be the issue of Xenophobia that almost strained diplomatic relations between both countries, as well, as harnessing economic potentials inherent in both countries through robust legislative framework.
Zuma is expected to arrive the National Assembly by 3.00pm. Security has, therefore, been tightened in and around the National Assembly with restricted movements of persons and vehicles.
