Bale
Zinedine Zidane has asked Gareth Bale, to hand in a transfer request, to make his move to the Bernabeu easier.
According to Steve Bates of the Sunday People, the Real Madrid sporting director, is eager to beat off rivals to the signature of the Welsh winger and will not be put off by the huge price tag on the player.
However, with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy making it difficult for Madrid, the former France international has asked Bale to force the issue.
“I think Real Madrid have made their admiration of Gareth Bale very clear – and it has been made clear that we would not be put off by the cost of the player,” Zidane said.
“But if Gareth feels now is the time to move then he has to have a private discussion with his club and express that he wants to leave.”
The 23-year-old has given no indication that he wants to leave White Hart Lane so far.
