Zambia has announced the names of 23 players, that have been selected by coach Wedson Nyirenda, for this Sunday’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against Nigeria.
Kennedy Mweene, Nathan Sinkala and Jackson Mwanza made the cut, while FC Ural’s Chisamba Lungu and Lille’s Stoppila Sunzu are the only two European-based pros.
Nyirenda has however left out Racha Kola, Donashano Malama, Billy Mutale, Spencer Sautu, Patson Daka and Justin Shonga from the 23-man squad.
They were all dropped from the provisional 33-man squad .
Zambia, who failed to qualify for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations, will be hoping to begin their World Cup qualifying campaign with a win against the Super Eagles in Ndola.
