There is tension in Ogulagha Community in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State as aggrieved youths have allegedly razed several houses and destroyed others valuables over the death of the Community Chairman, Solomon Prebor.
DAILY POST understands that the youths went on rampage when the news of the death of the Chairman filtered into town.
The youths also attacked some persons who are not loyal to the deceased Community leader.
Indigenes and residents scampered for safety and called on security agencies to come to their rescue.
It was learnt that the Chairman died in a fatal accident on his way back from Lagos State with some associates.
An eyewitness who craved anonymity said a Community member had dragged the Chairman and members of his Executive before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over allegations of misappropriation of Community funds, particularly monies from oil companies operating in their domain.
According to the eyewitness,”On their way back from Lagos State, their vehicle had a fatal accident and only the Chairman died.
“The youths are angry because they feel the death was a spiritual attack on the Chairman because no other person sustained injuries in the accident.”
