Youths block major road in Delta with dead body to protest incessant deaths [PHOTOS]

Some irate youths in Delta State on Thursday caused a massive stir as they protested the high spate of deaths in the state.

This came a few hours after the corpse of a yet-to-be identified middle-aged man was found in the Atakpo River at Ibusa in Oshimili North Local Government Area of the state.

DAILY POST gathered that the corpse was pulled out of the River and placed in the middle of the Asaba-Ogwashi Uku road.

As at press time, the state police spokesperson, Celestina Kalu, could not confirm the report, as she told DAILY POST, she was at a function and was not disposed to talking to the press.

It was, however, gathered that the youths in the area are presently protesting the recurring deaths that they have witnessed in their community in recent times.
