The youths also recovered two brief cases containing codeine, tramadol and other hard drugs from the suspects. They also arrested a suspected cultist, Kadiri Maliki in the area.

The group, which is out against drug abuse, cultism and other social vices, caught the suspects during its routine raid on hideouts where unapproved drugs are sold and consumed.

“Help this group to build a new Warri, a new future for our children,” he begged.

A police source, who craved anonymity, said the suspected drug dealer allegedly admitted to the crime, insisting that, “only one of the brief cases containing the illicit hard drugs belong to him while the other one is for the fleeing suspect.”

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO DSP Andrew Aniamaka confirmed the report in a telephone chat with DAILY POST.

He said, “Yes, your information is right. They were arrested by the community with codeine and a few other substance. Off course, we need the legal position and the right thing will be done.”
