A Former aide to Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has described Nigerian Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka as someone who delves into what does not really concern him. Omokri is reacting to claim by the writer that Nigerians are prying into his privacy.
The dramatist had yesterday, in a parley with journalists in Lagos declared that he will hold a private funeral on the day the United States’ President-elect, Donald Trump will be sworn in.
He had said, “Why do Nigerians wail louder than the bereaved?
“I am embarrassed to occupy the same nation space as some imbeciles and morons. I am planning my Wolexit, which could be internal or external.”
But reacting via his Twitter handle, @renoomokri, the former aide to President Goodluck Jonathan said the Nobel Laureate should not be wailing when his privacy is invaded, adding that Soyinka is the chief nose poker.
Omokri wrote, “Soyinka the chief poke noser into the affairs of others to the extent of calling a First Lady “Hippo”, is angry at the invasion of his privacy!
“That we don’t have a Nobel Prize doesn’t mean we can’t reason. You can’t boast about a thing publicly and expect it privately discussed.”
