Leaders of the Yoruba race are meeting in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital to discuss the position of the race in the ongoing call for restructuring.
Among the dignitaries that have so far arrived the venue of the event tagged: “Yoruba Standpoint on Restructuring” taking place at the Lekan Salami Stadium Adamasingba Ibadan, the Oyo State capital are Chief Ruben Fasoranti, Chief Afe Babalola, Yinka Odumakin, Dr. Tokunbo Awolowo-Dosumu, Senator Femi Ojudu, Dr. Doyin Okupe, Dr. Gbenga Daniel and former Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko.
Also present at the event are Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, Chairman of the occasion, Chief Afe Babalola and Otunba Gani Adams.
Those who have spoken including Afe Babalola, Gbenga Daniel, Awolowo-Dosumu, Chief Idowu Sofola (SAN) maintained that the only way out of the present socioeconomic challenges the country is facing is to dully restructured it to meet the present challenges.
Chairman of the planning committee, Dr. Kunle Olajide, said Nigeria is yet to realize its potentials despite the various economic and human resources it has.
