Former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo, has admitted that he is not following the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Equatorial Guinea.

The former Everton and Fenerbahce defender, was not part of the Nigeria team that failed to qualify for the competition, having announced his retirement after the 2014 World Cup.

Yobo, who is currently without a club, has however tipped neighbours Ghana, to clinch the trophy.

“I don’t watch the Africa Cup of Nations, with the Super Eagles not being in the tournament, my interest is not there,” he said.

“I tip Ghana to win the tournament. As our brothers and long term allies, I would like them to win the tournament. Above all, I think they have a good team.”
